It goes without saying that our customers expect us to deliver great services and quality products. We pride ourselves on offering this, and more. Our company would like to communicate why this year has been profoundly challenging for us, and how it affects your overall customer experience.
It’s a critical time for the nation’s building and remodeling industries. The impact of COVID-19 continues to evolve. Businesses like ours are experiencing a truly unprecedented situation as we’re all faced with changing customer buying habits and supply chain disruptions.
Liberty Fence & Railing is experiencing very heavy call volume at this time and appreciates your patience as we work hard to respond to all service and estimate requests. We’re working additional hours to catch up in order to provide a more reasonable turnaround time. However, other factors contribute to our business challenges, including:
- We complied with the state’s executive order, halting production and closing for two months.
- Upon reopening we had an overwhelming list of voicemails and emails to review and answer.
- There is a shortage of workers needed for the current demand.
- More homeowners invested in outdoor projects increasing product demand.
- Products not produced in-house are back-ordered for 10 weeks or more due to the same production stoppage that affected our business.
- Out-of-state drivers are being quarantined and cannot deliver our products and materials, including wood fencing from Canada.
- Some large box stores are also out of inventory and are recommending us to their fence customers, therefore adding to the supply shortage.
As we look to the future, we are confident that we will overcome these obstacles. During this difficult time, we must have tolerance and patience as we work together. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
