Home Pool Fence & Gate Safety: Maintenance Checklist For New York Pool Owners

Home pool owners should regularly inspect enclosures around pools to ensure they’re secure and in good working order. No matter where you live, it’s important to follow local residential pool fence code requirements. New York residents (that’s where we install) can print this page and use our checklist to identify any required maintenance. If you need a new outdoor residential pool code fence installed, remember to hire a licensed and insured fence company like Liberty Fence & Railing.

Disclaimer: This checklist is for educational purposes only. It does not include a complete list of pool safety and barrier (fence) requirements. Residential pool owners should consult the local by-laws, ordinances, codes, and regulations of their municipality. It is highly recommended homeowners get a professional assessment of their pool’s compliance.

There should be adult supervision at all times when the swimming pool is in use.
